The level of Council Tax YOU pay depends on the valuation afforded to your property.
This valuation is based on what the property would have sold for in April 1991. Because market conditions are continually changing the valuation afforded to your property may be wrong, especially if your property was built recently and it is difficult to compare with property that was available in 1991.
